Done for you, not do-it-yourself
There are two ways to get a Shopify app. You can rent a platform and assemble it yourself in a dashboard, or somebody can build it for you. We are the second kind, and it is worth knowing which you are buying.
You send us your store. We come back with a designed app. You say what to change. We submit it to Apple and Google and deal with whatever they say. There is no dashboard for you to learn and no configuration for you to get wrong at eleven at night.
And what that costs you
Less control over small things. If you want to change a homepage banner at midnight, you message us rather than dragging it yourself.
In exchange: nothing on your side breaks because you did not know that a setting existed, and nobody on your team becomes the person who "handles the app".
If you would rather have the dashboard, a self-serve platform is a better fit and we will say so.

Larger platforms have far more logos on their home page, and that is a fair thing to weigh. What we would put beside it is a publish date you can check and an update log that did not stop.
We were not given permission to, and numbers without a named source are worth nothing anyway. We would rather hand you an app to install.
An app earns its keep on repeat purchases. If your customers buy once and have no reason to return, we will say so on the call rather than take the money and watch it go unused.
