Art Dei Marmi: an app for a purchase nobody makes in one sitting

Marble and interiors are a high-value, slow decision. The app is not trying to close the sale in one session — it is holding the room together across several.

A different job from a fast-moving store

Most ecommerce advice is about removing friction from a purchase somebody has already decided on. This category is the opposite problem: the customer will decide over weeks, will involve other people, and will come back three or four times before anything is bought.

What that customer needs is not a faster checkout. It is a way to keep what they were looking at, compare two things properly, and return to where they left off without starting again — which is exactly what a browser tab cannot do and an installed app can.

What the screens do

Fewer items per screen and much larger photography, because scale and finish are the decision. Saved items that survive between visits. A product page that answers the questions this purchase actually raises — dimensions, material, what it looks like in a room — rather than the ones a fashion product page would.

Why it is worth an app at all

A category where somebody buys once every few years looks like the weakest case for an app, and the reason it is not is the length of the decision. The app is not there to bring them back next month. It is there to still be there on the fourth visit.

See it on both stores.
