Eleganza La Mode: live shopping, in Arabic and English

Fashion has the highest return rate in retail and most of it is sizing. A live seller answers “how does it actually fit” while somebody is still watching, which is the one thing a photograph cannot do.

Why live selling suits this category

Uncertainty is what stops a fashion purchase: how it drapes, how it sits on a body that is not the model’s, whether the colour is the colour. A still image cannot resolve any of that, and the customer resolves it by ordering two sizes and returning one — which is a sale that costs the store twice.

A live stream resolves it in real time. The seller holds it up, turns it, answers the question in the comments, and the person watching either wants it or does not. Both outcomes are better than a return.

Two languages, properly

The app runs in Arabic and English, and Arabic here is not a translation pass. Right-to-left changes the layout, the icons that imply direction, the back arrow, the carousels and the order the eye reads a screen in — while numbers and Latin brand names stay left-to-right inside it. An app that flips only the text reads as machine-translated, which costs more trust than staying in English would have.

Buying happens inside the stream

This is the part that decides whether live selling works at all. A session that ends with a link to a product page loses most of its audience at the exact moment they were most willing to buy. In the app the product is one tap below the video, with the customer already signed in and already holding a delivery address.

Install it on the App Store or Google Play.
