What equipment do you need to start live selling?
A recent phone, a light in front of the presenter, and a wired microphone. Bad audio ends a stream far faster than bad video.
What decides it
Everything beyond that is optimisation. A tripod, a second light and a stable connection cover almost every remaining problem, and spending more before running five sessions buys equipment for a format you have not tested.
The part that gets skipped
A live stream that sells is a rehearsed show with a host who knows the stock, not a phone propped against a shelf.
The commercial trick is not the video. It is buying inside the video, because sending somebody to a product page loses most of them on the way.
Recorded short-form outperforms live for most small stores: the same content, none of the scheduling, and it keeps working.
Where an app fits
TicApp built a live shopping tab into Eleganza La Mode — buyable video inside the app, on both stores since December 2025.
